Equal justice and free legal aid is the aim of Samudayik Vikas Samiti. The constitution of India provides under article 39A that state shall secure the operation of the legal systems that promotes justice on the basis of equal opportunity, and shall in particular, provide free legal aid to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disability. Samudayik Vikas Samiti arranged a number of workshops and seminar on legal Aid.
Today atrocities against women and child are on hike. They are denied and deprived of their rights. Many of them are not able to safeguard their rights or vindicate them before the court because of poverty and penury. Moving the court for redressal of grievances involve financial implications. Also the traditional rule of locus standi stood as a stumbling block for a third party to appear before the court on behalf of the needy.
Samudayik Vikas Samiti provides legal counselor to the needy who are not able to afford a counselor. Samudayik Vikas Samiti also adopted new methods for bringing the problem of poor before the courts by way of Public Interest Litigation.
